At our zoo, you’ll see hundreds of exotic animals
You might have seen some of them before, but there are many you’ll be seeing for the first time. Sadly, some of our animals are in real danger of becoming extinct in the wild.
When you see our animals up close, we hope you’ll want to help us do something to save them. To make sure your children, and their children, will be able to see them too. Because extinct means gone. Forever.
Just by visiting us, you’re helping
We’re part of 36 breeding programmes through our membership of the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA). You can read about what we’re doing for black rhino conservation and all of our breeding programmes. Read our full Conservation Policy here.
We also want to help conserve all our natural resources. Our ‘Look to the Future’ team look at ways we can be greener, like growing our own willow for our giraffes to munch on. We even reuse our animal poo! Read our full Sustainability Policy here.
We also raise money for our conservation partners to help protect animals in their natural environment. And we help with projects that reintroduce animals from zoos to the wild.
10% of the profits from all of our animals adoptions will raise money for our conservation partners, you can adopt a lion, adopt a goat, adopt a penguin, adopt a sloth, adopt a giraffe, adopt a red panda and many many more!
