Welcome back! Croeso nol!

We’re delighted to have welcomed our first visitors back, it was amazing to see you all.

It was an emotional day for our staff yesterday as we welcomed you back to Folly Farm following this latest (longest!) lockdown. The support we’ve received over the last five months of closure has kept us going and we can’t thank you enough. Your kind messages, your thoughtful gifts from our Amazon wish list and your support in purchasing animal adoptions and annual passes for when we reopened were a daily boost to our animal keeping staff who have worked so hard and shown such dedication throughout the lockdowns caring for our animals. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💛

And what a day it was! We ordered the sunshine and it delivered. You lovely lot were fantastic as always, showing so much respect to each other, our staff and our animals by following the social distancing measures we’ve got in place. It filled our hearts with joy seeing our youngest visitors enjoying the play areas and an ice cream or two. We spoke to many of you on the day and it was wonderful to hear your stories about how you couldn’t wait to return or how your little ones have been asking to come every day since Christmas (well done – that must have been exhausting!).

Our animals were pleased to have you back too! Many (meerkats!) were so excited and showed a real interest in you, others were not sure what all the fuss was about (lions!). Thank you so much for respecting our animals and the fact they haven’t seen visitors for a while and giving them the space they need.

Our wonderful local Rotarians were on hand volunteering to give you a warm welcome on arrival for which we’re hugely grateful.
