Folly Farm Zoo is rated in world’s top 25, according to millions of traveller reviews and opinions.
We’re also named thirteenth best rated zoo in Europe and the fourth best zoo in the UK.
Tim Morphew, our Zoo Manager said:
[Pullout] “We are delighted to be named fourth best zoo in the UK based on comments from visitors on TripAdvisor. Following the launch of Penguin Coast last year we had a record breaking season which saw us break through the 400,000 visitor mark for the first time and experience a 20% rise in visitor numbers and having just opened our new £500,000 Pride of Pembrokeshire attraction last month with the arrival of six African lions we are overwhelmed by the positive response we have had from visitors. We can only hope to continue to provide our visitors with the best experience possible.” [/Pullout]
It’s not just Pembrokeshire that has cause to celebrate this year; the awards reveal that the UK is home to more award-winning zoos in 2014 than any other European country, with eight zoos ranked in Europe’s top 25.
The UK also boasts three winners among the world’s top 25 – second only to the US, which claims the most world winners with nine.
TripAdvisor spokesperson James Kay, said;
