Farmer Glyn first to test the new ride!
Our new ride, The Paratrooper opened to the public last week just in time for the start of the Summer holidays. First to test it was our founding directors Farmer Glyn and Anne Williams. They give it the thumbs up, as did our staff who all got a test flight before it opened to the public.
Located next The Pembrokeshire Wheel, The Paratrooper, also known as the Parachute Ride or Umbrella Ride is a type of fairground ride where the seats are suspended below a wheel which rotates at an angle. The seats are free to rock sideways and swing out as the wheel rotates .
Chris Ebsworth, managing director at Folly Farm, said;

We purchased it in 2016 and following a substantial refurbishment by specialist engineers Rundles in Leicestershire we’re proud to now add it to our collection of fairground rides. I’m sure visitors to us this Summer will enjoy the new ride.” [/Pullout]
