Our very own Lily Rice wins bronze medal in the S8 100m Backstroke Final at the 2022 Commonwealth Games!
She’s only gone and done it!
Not only is Lily a valued member of our operations team – but, after only picking swimming back up sixth months ago, she can now also call herself a Commonwealth Games bronze medallist!
A fantastic swim in the S8 women’s 100m backstroke saw Lily come in at 1:23:06 and win Wales’ first swimming medal at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
[Pullout] “It’s absolutely amazing. I’ve put in a lot of work in the pool and in the gym, which has paid off. It feels great, I’m top three so I’ll take that.” – Lily Rice, Operations Assistant and Commonwealth medalist [/Pullout]
The whole Folly Farm family are beyond proud of Lily’s amazing achievement, and her colleagues were sure to give her a heroes welcome on the weekend once she returned from Birmingham. Watch this space – we’re pretty sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of Lily in the near future!
