A day out with us is always fun – with our award winning zoo, farm, fair and numerous play areas to explore. But we’re super egg-cited to have lots of egg-stra treats in store over the Easter school holidays. You’re sure to have a cracking time, (sorry – but you can never too many Easter puns!)
We will have our themed Easter card hunts AND our ‘Animal Eggs’ themed prize trails. Hunt for our hidden cards – there’s a prize in store if you find one! And make sure you pick up a prize trail form from admissions to take part in our trail. Just pop your finished from back to us before exiting to be entered into our prize draw.
Our photo op area in the barn is back to capture those fun family selfies – PLUS there’s an array of meet and greet sessions with lots of farmyard friends in our barn throughout each day. Make sure you check out our blackboards at the entrance of the barn to see the daily schedule so you don’t miss out on getting up close to some cheeky characters!
The zoo team will be running a ‘Meer-chat’ session at the meerkats daily throughout the Easter break at 12pm. Join them at the meerkat enclosure to hear a talk on our popular Kalahari critters, whilst they enjoy some tasty treats!
As well as all of the daily fun – there’s even more Easter treats in store over the Easter Weekend itself.
Look out for our ‘Easter Surprise’ themed cards. If you find one you could win a chocolate treat!
Make sure you join in the farmyard fun with our Conservation Officer Jack. There’ll be lots of arts and craft activities* available in the mornings including egg pendant colouring and you can make your own woolly sheep! In the afternoons guests can help Jack make pinecone bird feeders for the birds at Folly Farm and find out about native birds and how you can help them in your own garden.
Tractor fans are in for a treat as we’ll have some of our tractors and machinery out on display – including a vintage Massey Ferguson which will be available for that perfect photo opportunity!
All weekend we’ll also be showcasing our role in preserving rare breeds of livestock and poultry.
Donations over the Easter weekend to take part in these conservation activities are welcome and gratefully received as the money raised enables us to continue supporting our conservation partners such as the Rare Breed Survival Trust.
*Note: Arts and crafts activities are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Let’s not forget that we also have an array of adorable baby animals in the farm to coo over during your visit with us this Easter. Spring truly has sprung with the arrival of lots of lambs and piglets – and we’re hoping to have chicks in our hatchery ahead of the Easter weekend too!
