Bronze adoption gift pack – £35 Includes adoption certificate, flamingo fact sheet, flamingo cuddly toy and presentation box
Silver adoption gift pack – £40 All the above plus the adopter’s name on a thank you board on Flamingo Lagoon.
Gold adoption gift pack – £55 All above plus a single day entry ticket to Folly Farm to see our flamingos.
Christmas orders
We’ll date your Christmas gift adoptions from Christmas day if there’s a Christmas message on the order or if you add a note to let us know it’s a Christmas present. We even wrap the boxes in brown paper so you can keep it a surprise from inquisitive relatives!
The last posting date to guarantee your adoption gift pack will arrive in time for the big day is midnight on Wednesday 18 December. Any order placed after this time won’t be posted until our office staff return in the New Year.

How do I adopt a flamingo?
To adopt a flamingo, just click buy now and choose if you’d like a bronze, silver or gold adoption. You can adopt a flamingo for yourself or for someone special and we’ll also send a special gift message along with your flamingo in your adoption pack.
Your flamingo adoption will last for 12 months, and 10% of the profit will help raise money for our conservation partners. So you’ll feel pretty cool about giving this gift too.

Fun facts about flamingos
- The word ‘flamingo’ comes from the Latin and Spanish for ‘fire’ referring of course to their bright pink feathers.
- A group of flamingos is called a ‘flamboyance’. And that’s rather fabulous.
- Flamingos filter small food bits in the water using their strange shaped beaks.
- Flamingos can stand on one leg for up to four hours at a time. But they’re not showing off, they do it to preserve energy and retain heat in their body.
- The backward bending knee of a flamingo isn’t a knee at all, it’s actually its ankle. Its knee is much higher and hidden underneath its feathers.

If there are any problems with your gift pack on arrival, please email photos and we’ll send a replacement.
We only send our adoption packs to addresses with a UK postcode, the cost of postage is included in the price.
Our adoptions last 12 months and are for the species as a whole rather than a specific, named animal.
