We’ve won the Best Visitor Attraction in Pembrokeshire awarded at Visit Pembrokeshire’s Croeso Awards, several times, most recently for the 2022/2023 season.
Pembrokeshire’s Visitor Attraction of the Year
We were delighted to pick up the Best Lodge Escape in Wales from Hoseasons at their 2023/2024 Diamond Awards.
Having only launched our range of luxury lodges in 2022, the award is huge testament to the hard work of our dedicated team.
We won Best Caravan Park in Pembrokeshire awarded at Visit Pembrokeshire’s Croeso Awards for our Holiday Park for the 2022/2023 and backed that up with the award for Best Glamping Site in Pembrokeshire for the 2023/2024. We also picked up awards from campsites.co.uk for Best Family Campsite in South Wales two years running and were runners up in the overall category for Best Family Campsite in the UK.
In 2019 we won three awards from Days Out With The Kids – Best Animal Attraction in Wales, Best Attraction in Wales for Little Kids and we also scooped the National award for Best Attraction for Little Kids in the UK!

We’ve won the disabled access charity, Euan’s Guide, Welsh Venue of the Year twice. Euan’s Guide recognises businesses that make a commitment to making everyone feel welcome regardless of abilities.
We’ve been named Euan’s Guide Accessible Welsh Venue of the Year for two years running. The award recognises the commitment of businesses to making all its visitors feel welcome regardless of their abilities.
We’ve won the ‘Best Day Out in Wales’ Award three times. It’s a National Tourism Award for Wales, awarded by Visit Wales and we won it in 2005, 2010 and 2015. We were also finalists in 2018 for this award now called Best Visitor Attraction in Wales. It’s always humbling to receive recognition from our industry peers.
We also picked up the Best Day Out award at the first ever Welsh Hospitality Awards in 2016.

We’re the proud holders of a ‘Gold’ accolade from Visit Wales, receiving it every year since 2016 when it was introduced. It’s for attractions that achieve excellence for their facilities and customer service. So you can be confident of a great day out. We’ve also been awarded ‘Gold’ in the Glamping accommodation category for our Showman’s Wagons and our Safari Tents.
We also hold Quality Assured five star ratings from Visit Wales for our Holiday Park and our self-catering accommodation Folly View.
In 2017 we were awarded a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best award, based on us consistently receiving ‘excellent’ reviews from our visitors which rated as the 10th Best Zoo in the World, one of only two UK zoos in the top ten and putting us in the top 1% of businesses listed on TripAdvisor worldwide.
We were also delighted to be voted in the Top Five Zoos in the UK in 2024 and to have received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2024, having first received this award in 2011.
There’s no higher praise than that which comes from our visitors.
We’re proud to have won BIAZA Awards, the “Zoo Oscars”, in 2011 with a Best Educational Enclosure Gold Award for Folly Interactive and in 2015 with a Best Enclosure Design Silver Award for Pride of Pembrokeshire.

We’re proud to be members of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA). Our membership means we share knowledge with leading zoos across the UK and Europe, and we learn from them too.
In 2024 we were accredited under the Animal Attraction Assurance Scheme (AAAS) through the National Farm Attraction Network (NFAN) of which we are members. Only a third of farm attractions in the UK are AAAS accredited, providing our visitors with a level of assurance that they’re choosing to visit an attraction that meets animal welfare standards and meets its commitment to visitor safety by adhering to NFAN’s Code of Conduct.
We’ve held the Green Key environmental accreditation since 2016. The eco-accreditation promotes sustainable tourism and guides businesses towards best environmental practices.
