We’ve always been farmers but now we’re much more than a farm! Find out about our humble beginnings as a dairy farm, how we’ve developed into an award-winning attraction and holiday park and how conservation, sustainability and community are the foundations of our family-run business.
Now, we’re home to endangered, exotic species on our zoo as well as domestic, rare breeds on our farm and with that comes great responsibility. We’re proud to be Wales’ only accredited Rare Breed Survival Trust (RBST) farm park as well as members of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquaria (BIAZA), the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA) and members of 36 European Endangered Species Breeding Programmes (EEP’s).
We’ve restored and preserved a working collection of vintage fairground rides, added indoor and outdoor play areas and since 2020 we’ve developed a multi-award winning holiday park so guests can now Stay and Play at Folly Farm.
We employ many local people and lots of our seasonal team are students and we’re proud to give them their first experience in the workplace. Plus Pembrokeshire College’s animal care department is based on site to help develop future generations of animal keepers and conservationists.
Most of our team have been with us for a number of years, decades in some cases. Every year we celebrate them with our length of service awards.

Conservation, sustainability and community are the foundations that underpin our family-run business.
Folly Farm diversified from a working dairy farm into a tourist attraction in 1988, seeing organic growth each year through the addition of more animals, attractions, visitors and employees.
We’re proud of our Pembrokeshire roots and we take our role as a major employer in the county seriously.
We’re conscious of our footprint within our local surroundings and our need to work sustainably to preserve our environment and, though our position as one of the leading attractions in Wales, we educate visitors regarding our sustainable practices and tips for how they can reduce their environmental impact.
We engage with our various communities through local sponsorships, fundraising events and charitable donations. It’s an important part of our mission to be a responsible and sustainable business.
We’re delighted and humbled to have received a number of awards and accolades from our industry peers and loyal customers.
