We’ve been assessed by independent consultants KIWA as part of the National Farm Attractions Network (NFAN) Animal Assured Attraction Scheme, providing our visitors with the reassurance that not only are our animals healthy and safe but so are they because we comply with its code of practice. Only a third of the farm parks in the UK have the AAAS safety standard.
The AAAS helps farm parks meet safety standards for how children and adults interact with farm animals. It also audits farm parks against the Five Freedoms standard for animal welfare.
Our accreditation certificate confirms that we comply with the requirements of the NFAN Animal Attraction Assured scheme, based on the Industry Code of Practice – Preventing or controlling ill health from animal contact at visitor attractions.
“We’re delighted to have received this accreditation alongside a third of the farm parks in the UK that are part of the Animal Assured Attraction Scheme. Being AAAS certified provides an extra level of reassurance to our visitors that they and our animals are at the heart of what we do. Any scheme that means we are subject to regular inspections to check with are compliant with industry best practice is welcome. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and animal welfare.”
