New VR ride now open

Brand-new VR ride now open in the fairground!

Introducing ‘Plundering Pirate Voyage’ – our first virtual reality experience attraction…

We’re excited to announce the opening of a brand-new VR ride in our Fairground, the first of its kind at Folly Farm!

This VR ride will transport you and your family on a thrilling adventure through pirate roamed jungles where you’ll embark on a quest to retrieve a stolen treasure chest key. You’ll need to hold on tight, keep your head on a swivel, and get your “arrrrrrrs!” at the ready as this is sure to be a wild ride!

What to expect…

The VR Ride is two tokens per person, allows up to six riders at a time, and due to limited throughput, it’s not included in our Fairground Wristbands. The ride is suitable for riders over 1.2m alone, but those under 1.2m must ride with an adult. This wild 4D experience is a fully immersive ride with front fans, surround sound audio, moving boat, and 360 degree HD VR headsets creating a truly spectacular ride for all the family.

Please note, we don’t want any crewmates going overboard… so please speak to the ride operator if you suffer with motion sickness, vertigo, epilepsy, or have a history of seizures before riding.

Keep an eye out for updates and teasers about spooky Halloween escapes, and magical Christmas sleigh rides throughout each respective season. The inside of our VR ride will be themed in line with each season, so expect spooky décor and plenty of pumpkins for Halloween and festive magic and Christmas trees for Christmas.
