Run rhino Jack, run!
Our rhino keeper Jack is pretty amazing. Not only does he do a great job in looking after our beautiful eastern black rhinos and ensuring they have everything they need to stay happy and healthy, his passion and commitment has seen him travel across the world to countries such as Indonesia and Australia to learn as much as he possibly can about this critically endangered species.
But it doesn’t stop there – Jack also organised a public talk on the conservation of rhinos in the town of Pembroke where he lives, along with a charity quiz night in Narberth Rugby Club. Oh, and this was in-between grueling training sessions gearing himself to run the London Marathon which he successfully completely last month, finishing in an impressive 4 hours 33 minutes. Phew!
All of his hard work has certainly paid off with Jack raising an amazing total of £2,600 with all money going to the superb charity Save the Rhino. What a hero!
Many amazing friends, businesses and colleagues helped Jack to smash his target of £2000 so a massive thank you to you all – with sponsors including Lexon Group, Ardion Doors, Monddi Design, Extremus Dog Training, Celtic Quest Coasteering, Sky Cam Wales, Pembrokeshire Photography, GD Harries, Saundersfoot Footlights, Golley Slater and Signbox printers. You’ve all helped make a huge difference.
So a big well done Jack – even though your energy levels puts the rest of us to shame *hangs head*, we are all so proud of you and your commitment in helping save one of the worlds most endangered animals.
(Manyara thanks you too)!
