BIAZA ACE Conference 2008
Wednesday 19th to Friday 21st November
This year’s ACE Conference, hosted by Folly Farm, in Tenby, Pembrokeshire promises to be a lively and stimulating event. Come and join us for inspirational guest speakers, lively debates and workshops and informative top tips.

The event begins on Wednesday evening with the Awards Dinner, sponsored by Jardine Lloyd Thompson, and we are delighted to announce that the awards will be presented by Welsh Minister for Heritage, Rhodri Glyn Thomas.

The conference continues with the joint education and marketing joint day on Thursday, and as last year all those attending the dinner the evening before are encouraged to attend. Penny Fidler of Ecsite UK has already confirmed and her presentation will be followed by what we hope will be a lively debate ‘Look who’s left holding the baby’ which explores the subject of baby animals and what messages we give our audience, inspired by the controversy surrounding the Nuremburg baby polar bear.

On Friday separate sessions will run for marketers and educators. For the marketers, there will be presentations covering the hot topics and latest thinking including current tourism trends, measuring advertising effectiveness and ROI, visitor profiling, Web 2.0 and social networking. We’re also delighted to say that Anna Ryder-Richardson, TV celebrity and new owner of Manor House Wild Animal Park, will be talking about her experiences as a new zoo owner and the opportunities for working with the media. And don’t forget the usual Top Tips session, which is an opportunity to share ideas and win a bottle of champagne!

And the educators are in for a treat too. Sessions will include the popular Open Spaces as well as an update on Darwin 200 and presentations from the National Botanic Gardens of Wales, the Field Studies Council, Pembrokeshire National Park and much more.

And if that’s not enough the conference dinner promises to be fun, fun, fun as it will be held in the largest undercover Funfair in Europe at Folly Farm – and there will be a 1920’s Fancy Dress theme to match the beautifully restored Victorian fairground rides!

The Early Bird discount ends on 19th September. So, what are you waiting for? Book today!
